On the evening of January 18, Veronica Reyes-Diaz drove from her Dover home to her sister’s residence in Plant City to pick up her two older children. She returned home, put them to bed, and left again sometime later—but never came back.
Her silver Chevrolet Yukon was found parked outside her house with her keys and wallet inside. Veronica’s cell phone disappeared with her; it pinged in the local area over that same weekend, then went silent by the evening of January 20 (either shut off or battery drained).
